Our goals are to improve mobility and strength, to relieve pain and to restore physical function. This enables you to resume your regular activities of daily living. We all experience pain. Pain is an internal response to mechanical dysfunction. We work with your specific situation to increase strength and improve efficiency of motion to decrease stress on joints. Our strategies and therapies are designed to be an alternative to opioids and over-the-counter pain meds, which just treat the symptoms, not the cause. In some cases we can help prevent or serve as an alternative to invasive surgery.
Before you undergo expensive or invasive surgery, try physical therapy. For some conditions treatment by a physical therapist can be effective and in some cases, prevent surgery. If surgery is required, per-surgical treatment can help strengthen your body, and improve surgical results. Post-surgical therapy is often necessary to get you back to proper flexibility, motion, and strength. Your physical therapist is an important component of the health care team. We work alongside your physicians, personal trainers, chiropractors, and coaches to achieve your best outcomes.
We work closely and collaboratively with our patients and referring physicians to develop treatment plans that are designed for each person’s individual goals, challenges, and needs. We work with you to help you keep your independence, and improve strength and balance. Our techniques are carefully designed to improve mobility, balance, endurance, and independence. Our goals focus on, but aren't limited only to fall prevention, home safety, and cognitive function.
We help many athletes, sports enthusiasts, and those who just want better day to day performance gain increased speed, strength, and flexibility.
Physical therapy can help you get more out of your workouts and performance, and will help with improved core sequencing and stability. All the exercise in the world will not be as effective if your balance and sequencing are off. Isolated strengthening does not work because we do not use our arms and legs in isolation. Coordinated, properly sequenced, full body motion is how we produce power and strength for all activities. Our therapists can help you get over your plateau and reach your ultimate performance.
